Incorporated in 1765. Conway, the home of Select Real Estate and the White Mountain Board of Realtors, could best be described as the business district of Mount Washington Valley. Conway offers shopping, dining, theaters, museums and plenty of places to stay, not to mention easy access to all the recreation, attractions, and events in the Mt. Washington Valley. Conway’s Tech Village is the home for much of the new technology taking place in the Mt. Washington Valley and where Granite State College resides. SOLO, based in Conway, is a nationally recognized school that trains in wilderness first aid and rescue. The year-round Ham Skating Arena offers public skating, hockey, and instruction. Conway is also where the Kancamagus Highway or the “Kanc,” as the locals love to call it begins. The Kanc is the only scenic byway loop in the country and is best known for its scenery and wildlife as it meanders through the White Mountain National Forest.
